We are seeking a skilled Middle+ Engineer to join the development team of our US client - a scalable Fintech SaaS product.We are looking for a backend-focused specialist (80% Backend / 20% Frontend) capable of designing resilient architectures within a Cloud-Native environment. This role involves working with complex payment logic, high-load systems, and AI-driven development tools.

Responsibilities

Core Development: Design and maintain the backend core using PHP 8+ and Laravel (approx. 80% of the role).
API Architecture: Architect complex GraphQL APIs to support diverse payment scenarios.
Security & Compliance: Apply secure coding principles (OWASP) to safeguard sensitive financial data. Security is not optional - it is embedded in every line of code you write.
High-Load Engineering: Build scalable services and manage caching (Redis/Memcached) to ensure stability under high traffic.
Cloud Operations: Work directly within a cloud-native environment, managing containerization via Docker and Kubernetes.
Frontend Integration: Develop responsive internal interfaces using React.js (approx. 20% of the role).
AI-Driven Workflow: Actively leverage Agentic AI tools (autonomous coding agents, Copilot, Claude Code) to optimize workflows and automate routine tasks.
Observability: Maintain platform health using logging and monitoring systems (Logz.io).

Required Skills & Experience

3+ years of commercial experience with Laravel or other modern PHP frameworks.
Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes is required.
Solid understanding of security best practices regarding sensitive data (OWASP, encryption, secure API design).
Proficiency with Redis/Memcached, database optimization, and high-load patterns.
Proven experience building and querying GraphQL APIs.
Experience with (or strong motivation to master) AI coding agents and LLM-based development workflows.
Understanding of Cloud-Native / SaaS architectures (scalability, resilience, multitenancy).
English level: Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher (for direct technical communication/syncs).

Nice to have

Domain experience in Fintech or Payment Systems.
