We are looking for a proactive Middle Business Analyst to join a part-time project. In this role, you will act as a key bridge between our client and the delivery team. You will be responsible for clarifying business needs, structuring complex requirements, and ensuring the project is supported by clear, high-quality documentation throughout its entire lifecycle. This position requires a professional who can quickly dive into an ongoing project and take ownership of the requirements management process.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and facilitate Pre-Discovery and Discovery sessions to uncover core business needs and project objectives.
  • Collect, analyze, and document comprehensive functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Produce and manage key BA artifacts, such as traceability matrices, functional specifications, use cases, UML/BPMN diagrams, and acceptance test plans.
  • Map and document business processes and existing system behaviors to ensure technical clarity for the delivery team.
  • Identify project stakeholders and maintain consistent communication to ensure alignment on all requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain scope documentation, ensuring every requirement maps back to the business goals.
  • Partner with Project Managers to create, refine, and prioritize epics and user stories in the backlog.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX teams to design user-centric interfaces and validate ideas via low-fidelity prototypes.
  • Establish and support end-to-end requirements management processes, managing changes and priorities effectively.
  • Perform competitor and market analysis to support strategic decision-making when required.
  • Rapidly integrate into ongoing projects, mastering existing requirements and processes within a short timeframe.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 1.5+ years of commercial experience as a Business Analyst in software development projects.
  • Proficiency in requirement elicitation techniques, including workshops, interviews, and document analysis.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum, specifically in managing epics, user stories, and backlog refinement.
  • Ability to create technical diagrams using UML, BPMN, ERD, and Context Diagrams.
  • Proven ability to maintain high-quality documentation and manage requirements changes throughout the SDLC.
  • English level: Upper-Intermediate / Advanced (B2–C1) with confident spoken English for leading client discussions.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of BA standards and frameworks such as IIBA (BABOK) or PMI-PBA.
  • Hands-on experience with CRM or ERP systems and large-scale enterprise solutions.
  • Domain experience in Ecommerce, Retail, or similar customer-facing industries.
  • Experience working in an outsource/outstaff environment with external clients.
  • Familiarity with data analytics or system evaluation to support data-driven decision making.

  • Strong ability to structure complex information and think critically.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to take full responsibility for the assigned scope.
  • Clear and confident interaction with stakeholders and the ability to justify prioritization decisions.
  • Flexibility to handle changing requirements and a result-oriented mindset in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain high productivity in a part-time engagement.
